In 1948 Carole starred in the murder mystery The Silk Noose. She plays Linda Medbury, an American reporter who investigates a British racketeer. The cast includes Joseph Calleia, Derek Farr, and Ruth Nixon. Derek Farr said of Carole "I enjoyed working with her enormously. Everyone adored her in the unit - she was a real Hollywood pro." The Silk Noose was filmed at Teddington studios in London, England during January and February of 1948. This was the final movie Carole made. It was released in England a few months after her death. The movie was not released in the United States until July of 1950. Carole's performance got mostly positive reviews.
